At Cape Otway, early in the morning, the gum trees are ethereal, their white gnarled trunks floating in the mist. Then the still, silent dawn awakens to a thousand birds singing as the sun rises to another perfect day.
Summer is here and the long warm days are wonderful for paddling in the shallows of secluded beaches, exploring the spectacular Great Ocean Walk or just relaxing in the dappled shade of the eucalypts, watching the koalas high in the trees above you. Take some time to catch up with one another in the Cape Otway sunshine.

The Hooded Plover breeding season is well underway and The Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology is surveying the local beaches to gather important information on this threatened species with Birds Australia. We would be delighted for you to join us.
